Regional Plan for Housing Authority Facilities for Structure Hardening & Flammable Vegetation Mgmt.

The Housing Authority wishes to consider a regional assessment of the properties they manage to consider the needed upgrades for the properties they own. These upgrades would include a range of items, such as home hardening, infrastructure improvements, and services for residents who either have physical or financial challenges. Project Scope: This project would map all of the individual properties managed by the HA, and identify needs on maps or other appropriate guiding documentation. Specific recommendations for each property would be written up in a supporting planning document that includes a suggested timeline for priority properties that have been identified as particularly vulnerable. These properties could serve as pilot projects for newly certified "home hardening" experts via the Allan Hancock program, working together with the County's workforce development project.
