Community-based Organization Disaster Coordination Plan & Capacity Support

Develop a plan with identified roles for key CBOs to be activated before, during and after disasters to assist and coordinate with emergency response agencies. Explore how the SB County VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) could support the formation of a Lompoc chapter and assist in the development of a Community Coordination Plan. Engagement and coordination of CBOs/NGOs would assist emergency responders and government agencies with communication, education, network engagement, and services before, during and after disaster. The plan would also identify potential funding mechanism to provide capacity support for CBO/NGO participation and roles during disaster.
